Construction of the general purpose/laboratory building
Set to break ground in August 2009, the Center’s 1500 ft2 expansion will house the laboratory and a general purpose room. It will also serve as the temporary headquarters for the community garden. Check back for pictures as this project unfolds!
Planning for future construction of retreat dwellings – container housing
Following the construction of the Center’s general purpose/laboratory building, Utterly Divine’s efforts will turn toward the construction of small retreat dwellings, designed to house people as they come to the Center for weekend retreats. These dwellings, designed by architect Ryan D’Cunha, use shipping containers as the platform for affordable 2-bedroomn, one-bath cottages and are constructed with a very heavy emphasis on renewable resources.
